在電腦節正式開幕前,Carousell邀請了著名KOL Flavia Wong 黃可盈為品牌造勢,展示平台的買賣過程。Flavia已在Carousell上出售其開展YouTuber之路的隨身相機—DJI Osmo Pocket 口袋雲台相機,買家可於8 月 21 日下午 2 時在Carousell攤位與Flavia見面,當面交收心頭好。

在2021年首七個月,Carousell約有110萬件電子產品,全新及二手商品各佔約一半,當中最受歡迎的商品包括電子遊戲、電腦及平板電腦。在這七個月期間,電子產品的瀏覽量更超過1.4億,可見此類產品需求甚殷。除了電子產品,Carousell 亦出售各種相關服務,例如電腦維修、手機維修、智能手錶維修及遊戲機維修、電腦零件升級,以及手機個人化設定。

延續2019年的成功經驗

Carousell opens booth with one of the largest electronics supply at The Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival 2021

Carousell, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing classifieds marketplace, is hosting a booth at the Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival 2021 from 20 to 23 August 2021. With over 1.1 million electronics listings available at Carousell’s booth, it has probably one of the largest electronics supply at the fair. In addition, with the theme “The Whole Electronics Mall is Already in Your Hands”, Carousell has a unique twist planned with its booth this year.

Showcasing Carousell’s creative approach to connect with visitors 

With online shopping becoming the norm as a result of Covid-19 restrictions and a boost by the government’s Consumption Voucher Scheme, consumers are looking for innovative online shopping options which are accessible whenever. Carousell provides a good solution for them with one of the largest electronics marketplace in their hands, that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To highlight this unique value proposition, Carousell decided to be creative in the marketing approach for this year’s booth and emphasise the key message that “The Whole Electronics Mall is Already in Your Hands” in a literal and humorous manner. 

In the days leading up to the festival, Carousell invited one of HK’s top influencers Flavia Wong 黃可盈 to showcase Carousell’s platform capabilities. She will sell her pre-loved DJI Osmo Pocket gimbal on Carousell. The buyer of the item will meet with Ms. Wong at Carousell’s booth at the festival on August 21 at 2pm to deal with her. 

Largest electronics supply within the palm of your hands 

Within the first seven months of 2021, there have been about 1.1 million electronics listings on Carousell, with new and secondhand listings having almost 50-50 weightage. Popular items listed include video games, computers and tablets. Demand for electronic goods is also strong with over 140 million listing views in the same period. Besides electronic goods for sale, Carousell also has a variety of electronics services, such as repair for computers, mobile phones, smartwatch and game consoles; upgrading of computer parts; and phone customisation. 

Continuing the success of 2019 Computer Festival

Drawing upon the impressive response from the 2019 Computer Festival, Carousell decided to go the extra mile and position the brand as a field leader. With new user sign-ups doubling in three days, the 2019 promotion was a success.
